Quoddy at O'Connell's

Feb 17, 2010

O'Connell's is a fine menswear store in Buffalo, New York. Founded in 1959 and well-stocked with some of the best heritage clothing in the U.S., it's easy to see why they've been around so long. I recently went on the hunt for a good casual shoe for spring and summer and decided on the Quoddy Canoe Moccasin. With just one set of eyelets, it's a bit quicker to tie than blucher mocs; so you can probably just leave them tied and slip them on and off like loafers. The deerskin insole ensures you can comfortably wear these sockless through the warmer months ahead. Quality construction and durability are inherent in the Quoddy name, so it's undoubtable that you're getting a great deal. Personally I'd go for the cinnamon leather.

$175 at O'Connell's ($209 retail on Quoddy's site)
