Timo Weiland Dusty Blue Denim

Apr 21, 2011

So far this is shaping up to be the season of faded denim. There's more than a few good options out there, but this slim cut pair from Timo Weiland struck me. The fit and simple details call to mind similar denim from Patrik Ervell, APC, or even Uniqlo, but I like this a little more for its brilliant hue. The tonal (as opposed to contrast) stitching, felled seams, and gunmetal buttons and rivets give the denim a cleaner look. The cut itself isn't as constricting as APC's Petit Standard, but it's still a modern slim fit with the thigh width measuring about 9.5" across and the leg opening measuring 7" across. At $129, they're worth giving a shot. Available now at Forward.

I think over time and many washes these would achieve probably the perfect tone as they seem a bit overwhelming brand new. I've been wearing the A.P.C version in the standard fit for a couple years now and I think they got the wash perfect right out the gate. I like Our Legacy's also.

I'm not sure I'm feeling the washed denim but Timo's a class act. Kind of... Nerd sprezzy. Check out the dude in his place of power here:
