“Ease and naturalness, no exaggeration, distinction without drabness, and comfort through the use of lighter-weight fabrics." — 1950 Esquire article explaining America's new "American informal" look.
Thoroughstitch is a new clothing line that embodies the Made Local, Buy Local mantra. Fabrics are sourced from the US, England, and Japan; while designs are sourced from vintage military and workwear styles. The chino cloth is particularly special, being the original Cramerton Cloth that was used to make military chinos through the 1930's and 1940's. They have a limited run of just a handful of products right now, and the website is still under construction, but I'm looking forward to seeing what becomes of the brand. Definitely something to keep your eye on.
