— Gant Rugger for ACL & Co. Handloom Hugger madras shirt
— Blue in Green chinos
— Abington work chukka
An unlikely candidate for high quality, well-crafted shoes; Timberland pulls through with The Abington Collection. The Abington Shoe Company was a company that Timberland acquired mid-century; thus a befitting title for their heritage line. I recently purchased a pair of their work chukka from Revolve's latest sale (now sold out), and I have to say that I was quite surprised at the craftsmanship and detailing on this piece. For $80 shipped, this was quite a deal and a much better shoe than one would get for double the price or more from a brand like Red Wing.
The Abington work chukka is comprised of:
— Chromexcel leather from Horween Leather Co. and cotton duck uppers
— Brass eyelets and shoelace tips
— Purple EVA footbed
— Vibram outsole
At first I was a bit put off by the reverse suede where the heel loop is, but I've found that I can kick off my shoes using my heels and not worry about scuffing the back of them.
