Robert Geller Spring 2011
Sep 12, 2010
Geller will always be a lycanthropic admiration of mine; a sort of Hyde to my Jekyll and a designer with a distinct style that, to me, will always stand out from the crowd. While this season's collection is definitely his "most approachable" as GQ calls it, it's sacrifices nothing in terms of style. If anything, the times are growing to meet Geller's vision, and it would seem he's becoming more inspired by contemporary styles than a specific historical period. My favorite pieces from this collection would have to be the jackets and suede double monk strap shoes, but nearly everything would be perfect for those wild nights on the town and the dreaded mornings that usually ensue.
