MSGM Men Fall / Winter 2011-12 Lookbook

MSGM is an Italian fashion brand founded in 2008 with both men's and women's lines. From their latest lookbook, it seems to me to be a better fitting and possibly higher quality collection of a style akin to Opening Ceremony's in-house line. The brand seems to be faring well in its home country, placing in Vogue Italia's "Who's On Next" contest last year and generating moderate international attention. The head designer, Massimo Giorgetti cites that his fashion inspirations come from Yves Saint Laurent, Coco Chanel and Walter Albini. Adding to that, he is apparently a big fan of indie bands the Strokes, MGMT and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. I don't want to get off-topic, but I'll say neither of those lists hurt the brand reputation in my eyes. The brand has a handful of U.S. stockists but it's unclear whether those are for both lines or just the women's line, I'm guessing the latter.
