Sartorially Inclined brings some clarification on where the J.Press for Urban Outfitters has gone and who's behind it. Looks like it's the brainchild of of those crazy Japanese that own J.Press, I'm definitely not complaining. I have an item saved in my shopping cart and it says "Pre-order 11/19/10 12:00 AM" in fine print below, so I'm assuming that's when the collection will be available online again.

I totally respect and appreciate all of these clothes, but how is this affordable for a college student? I'm trying to find great places to shop for "professional dress," but all this stuff is way out of my price range!
And not just from this one post. All of these are beyond expensive. Advice for affordable, classy wear?
As a college student myself, I understand where you're coming from. But the truth is that classy, affordable stuff just doesn't exist, at least not to the standards I set, unless you get things secondhand or get stuff tailored. My best advice is to buy less and invest more into individual pieces. You need to find what looks and feels good on you and what has lasting quality and style so you get the best value for your dollar. That's how you make it affordable. Also if Rugby isn't affordable for a college student, that's a little suprising seeing how that's pretty much their target audience. My sister could afford Rugby when she was working at a local bar and going to community college last year. I guess rising college expenses is another issue altogether (which is why I went to a state school).
