Designed in NYC and made in Japan; to me Robert Geller is the perfect blend of archival inspiration, minimalism, and quality. In contrast to the likes of Junya Watanabe's high contrast, patchworked, Americana-influenced garb; Geller's strengths lie in muted tones and Germanic militaria influence. If bursts of color occur, they do so naturally; in an indigo overdyed denim shirt or faded mustard pants. Cuts are fairly slim, but can work wonders on pretty much any build. I know many readers may not be able to afford the clothing; but for those that can, it is a worthy investment. While it isn't exactly business-appropriate attire, Geller's is the type of clothing best used to spruce up anything from a casual evening out on the town to a quick trip to the grocery store. Below are some of my favorite items for winter. Pieces that can be worn with sneakers and denim or cordovan boots and wool trousers; they lend themselves to the occasion.
