Virginia Tech: Impressions of a University, 1967

Sep 1, 2010

Found this interesting video today via greensleeves to a ground that harks back to a time of simpler style on university campuses. At about 2:08 the university choir chimes in dressed in regimental neckties and navy blazers, and from there we're taken on a tour of the campus. No baggy sweatpants, pajamas or UGG boots on these girls; and nearly all the men all look dashing in their oxford cloth shirts, v-neck jumpers, harrington jackets, madras shorts, and khaki chinos. I think it also goes to show that  back then you didn't need the latest or most expensive clothing in fashion to dress well, and it shouldn't be any different today.
